I’m on a big mission right now…and that’s my search for the perfect pair of bold floral jeans. As we all know spring is all about florals, funky prints and bright colors so why not throw these trends onto a jean. Really…you gotta have ‘em! Here are some of my favorite picks.
Paige Denim – Kind of obsessed with the color and print on this floral jean. I tried this pair on a couple weeks ago and I’m still tempted to go back and grab them (please…twist my arm).
Here are two great choices from Topshop. I like the simplicity of the navy jean…not as bold but very versatile.
Finally, love this option from Citizens of Humanity. Paired with the striped shirt, this is one adorable look.
It’s finally Friday thank goodness! Hopefully we’ll all be able to kick back and enjoy the weekend soon. My plans have drastically changed as of yesterday. Instead of jumping on a plane and flying off to Lawrence, KS to see one of my favorite bands of the moment, The Head and the Heart, I’ll instead be working….ARGH! So, in honor of my missing the fun with the girls, I thought I would post a tune.
The Head and the Heart is the latest “harmony-rich folk-rock band” and I have some serious love for them. The band all met at an open mic night in Seattle, formed a band, sold 10,000 albums by word of mouth and now have a deal with Sub Pop. I guess you could call it a “rags to riches” story. Reviews are across the board on these guys but I’m sticking with them. “Rivers & Roads” is one of my favorite songs on the album. Although I feel the drums and electric keyboard are a big part of this album, I decided to attach an acoustic version of this song. Hope you enjoy!
Oh, and from the fashion point of view, I’m also obsessed with this necklace Charity Thielen wore during the ACL Live taping.
If you read the first Bolder post or if you’ve stopped by my “About” page, you’ll find that “by day” I’m a Corporate Risk Consultant (don’t ask what this is just think “Along Came Polly”). I put “by day” in quotes because the demand / stress of the job typically filters into ever-single-part of my very chaotic life. I love the job but sometimes I need an escape which is what my first blog Hola Lola (documenting our chaos) and now this blog provide for me.
This week in particular started out ROUGH when it came to the job. Due to the mass amounts of anxiety I was feeling, I basically didn’t sleep at all Monday night. On Tuesday morning, as I was operating on two hours sleep and trying to complete deadlines in between conference calls, I received a fabulous call from my boss’ boss….I got the promotion I’ve been looking for…YAY! This really has made my day and week and made me feel like I just may make it through in one piece.
Now, how does this relate to fashion?!?!?!? Well, in honor of my promotion, I decided to treat myself to this Rebecca Minkoff little neon yellow bag that I’ve been obsessing over. This will add that perfect Pop of Color (a.k.a POC) to my spring outfits. Happy promotion to me!
She has the same bag in many other fun colors too…
How adorable are these???? I got my RM bag at one of my fave local Austin boutiques Maya Star (more to come on this one) but you can check out all these bags and more here.
I love Rebecca and will be featuring her designs on this blog again I assure you!
